W. D. Day built a mercantile store here around 1870, which he operated until his death in 1909. In March 1911, the Perry Loan and Savings Bank purchased the building and remodeled it to become a “banking house” until 1960 when it was sold and became commercial property. The building burned in 2008, and a beautiful outdoor dining area was created in the vacant space. Today, it is known as Patio On Carroll, an outdoor event space where exceptional events are made simply.

The decision to open Patio On Carroll as a unique event space stems from a desire to enhance the community experience in our Downtown Perry area. We recognize a need for a special venue where people could gather to celebrate milestones, whether it be family reunions, birthdays, or other significant events. Our vision was to create a charming and inviting atmosphere that blends the outdoors with a sense of intimacy, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of nature while celebrating with loved ones. Patio On Carroll offers a perfect setting for relaxation and connection, making it an ideal backdrop for creating lasting memories.

By providing this unique space, we aim to foster community engagement and a venue where families and friends can come together to share joy and create unforgettable experiences. We believe that every event deserves a memorable setting, and our Patio On Carroll is designed to offer just that–an enchanting place to host special gatherings while enjoying the vibrant energy of our downtown.
